L'idée de monter le groupe Cinétalents remonte à 2003. A ce moment, fort est de constater l'énorme potentiel des jeunes camerounais et le manque criard de structures à même de les encadrer et de canaliser leur énergie. Dans un contexte marqué par le taux de chômage sans cesse croissant, le projet de mettre sur pied une initiative visant à promouvoir le cinéma camerounais et, par ricochet, africain paraissait être un investissement viable. En 2006, cette idée s'est matérialisée. Et nous souhaitons maintenir la flamme indéfiniment…
LIKE A FOREWORD
The idea to put in place the Cinétalents Group can be traced back to 2003. At that time, the magnitude of the obvious potential lying in young Cameroonians was contrasting with the lack of suitable infrastructures to provide them with a framework within which their resources could be exploited. With the alarmingly increasing joblessness, setting up a group committed to the promotion of both the Cameroonian and African filmmaking industry seemed a viable investment. The idea came to reality in 2006. We intend to stay on track forever...
